Notes
Expert Recipe Tips:
Use thick cheese slices: For the best pumpkin shape, use a thick slice of cheese cut from a block (or stack 2â3 pre-sliced pieces). If the cheese melts too much, it will lose its defined pumpkin outline.
Lightly melt the cheese: Melt it just until it starts to soften â about 1 minute in the oven or 10 seconds in the microwave is perfect.
Cut shapes before toasting: Always cut your English muffins, ham, and cheese into pumpkin shapes before toasting or cooking; it helps keep the edges clean and the shapes intact.
Customize for dietary needs: This recipe works great with gluten-free English muffins, lactose-free cheese, or even vegetarian ham alternatives, so everyone can enjoy a fun Halloween breakfast!
Make it kid-friendly: Let kids help decorate the Jack oâlantern faces with olive âeyesâ and âsmilesâ â itâs a fun, hands-on way to get them excited for breakfast.
