This Healthy Oreo Banana Milkshake is easy to make and ww friendly. It's a great way to use up those frozen bananas too! Because whether you're trying to lose weight or simply eat healthy, sometimes you just gotta have chocolate! This recipe is the perfect way for the chocolate lover to get a chocolate fix while staying on track.
This chocolate banana milkshake is popular in the summer, especially on a hot day, although it's great any time of the year. It makes a great sweet breakfast, dessert, or snack and was inspired by my Chocolate Banana Popsicles and Chocolate Banana Mug Cake on this site. This recipe pairs well as a summer dessert with many meals, including my Air fryer Tuna Burgers.

🥘Ingredients
You do NOT need Oreo cookies (aka Oreo biscuits) for this delicious Oreo milkshake recipe. Instead, I use Oreo cookie crumbs (aka Oreo baking crumbs).
- 1 frozen banana
- 2 tablespoon Oreo baking crumbs
- 1 cup unsweetened plant-based milk
- ¼ tsp of almond extract
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
🔪Instructions
Add all ingredients to the blender.
Process on high for 30-45 seconds or until thoroughly blended.
Garnish this Oreo smoothie with banana slices and additional Oreo baking crumbs, as well as light whipped cream (see NOTES) if desired.
📖Variations & Substitutions
- Milk - you can use any type of milk you prefer, but be aware it will change the ww points value. You could also use unsweetened almond milk and skip the almond extract or use, skim milk, fat-free milk, or coconut milk.
- Frozen banana - if you don't have frozen bananas, you can add about a cup of crushed ice or ice cubes to the blender (if you have a blender capable of crushing ice).
- Oreo cookie crumbs - you could substitute a small squirt of chocolate syrup or scrape the icing off Oreo cookies and crush them with a rolling pin (put them in a Ziploc bag, then roll over them).
- Add-ins - you could add peanut butter or Peanut butter powder if you like the flavor. Just be sure to calculate the points.

This Healthy Oreo Banana Milkshake is such a clever way to satisfy my chocolate cravings without derailing my health goals. I love that it uses up those frozen bananas I always seem to have on hand, and the Oreo cookie crumbs give it that authentic flavor without needing actual cookies. We don't want those laying around tempting us!
