🥘Ingredients
The majority of recipes I found online had artificial sweeteners in the form of sugar-free pudding. I'm not a fan so I try to avoid them whenever possible. You don't need to use them to lose weight. Weight Watchers existed long before artificial sweeteners.
You'll need the following ingredients for this Skinny Copycat Wendy's Frosty recipe:

- Unsweetened vanilla almond milk- almond milk gives this drink a rich and nutty taste and pairs well with cocoa
- Ice cubes (from store-bought ice bag) - the ice helps emulsify the ingredients, creating a well-incorporated mixture, while keeping it cold
- Frozen banana- banana thickens this drink in a healthy and natural way
- Agave syrup - Agave syrup is a natural sweetener that is more concentrated than honey so you only need half the amount. *I use Wholesome Goodness Organic blue agave syrup sweetener because it has fewer points
- Whipped cream - I use a light spray whipped cream, which has very low points for whipped cream (1 point for 4 tbsps)- it adds to the drink's rich and creamy texture (see recipe NOTES for brands I use)
*See recipe card for a full list of ingredients and quantities
📖 Variations & Substitutions
- Almond milk - you can use plain unsweetened almond milk, but you'll need to add ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract to the drink. You could also substitute skim milk or soy milk, and add the same amount of vanilla extract. Light coconut milk is also an option.
- Agave - you can use honey instead of agave, but you'll need to double the amount, or you can use monk fruit
- Whipped Cream - you can use fat-free Cool Whip instead, but make sure to recalculate the points
- Ice cubes - you can use your own homemade ice cubes instead of buying them, but they are usually bigger, so you'll need less (about 15)
🔪How to Make a Weight Watchers Chocolate Frosty

- Step 1: Add all ingredients to blender.

- Step 2: In a high speed blend, blend for about 30 seconds - 1 minute or until smooth. *I use the "ice crush" setting on my blender. Serve with a straw or spoon (or both)! Garnish with a little more whipped cream and cherry, if desired. *Warning - it melts fast!
Expert Recipe Tips
- Use Frozen Banana for Creaminess – A frozen banana is key to getting that thick, creamy texture without ice cream. Peel and freeze your bananas in advance for the best results!
- Blend on High & Use the Right Setting – Use a high-speed blender and select the "ice crush" setting or blend for at least 30 seconds to 1 minute to fully incorporate the ice and create a smooth, Frosty-like consistency.
- Adjust Sweetness to Taste – Depending on your preference, you can tweak the sweetness by adding more or less agave syrup. If using an alternative sweetener, start with a small amount and adjust as needed.
- Serve Immediately for the Best Texture – This frosty melts quickly! Enjoy it right away for the best thick and creamy consistency. If it sits too long, it may separate—just give it a quick stir or re-blend.
- Use Small Store-Bought Ice Cubes – Large homemade ice cubes can be too big for smooth blending. Store-bought ice cubes work best for emulsifying the drink and keeping it cold without over-diluting the flavor.
🌡️Storage
Store this frozen dairy dessert in the freezer. If you're storing it for a short time (less than 24 hours) you can store it in the same glass you poured it in to drink, but cover it with some plastic wrap. If you plan to store it longer, store it in an airtight container - a juice jug would be ideal.
*It freezes very hard, so if you freeze it for more than a few hours, you'll need to let it sit out for about 20 minutes before you can drink it or use a spoon.

Top Tip
Freezing Bananas
When you’re freezing bananas, you'll want to peel them BEFORE you freeze them. It took me years, lots of minor frostbite from peeling frozen bananas and having frozen bananas as painful as frozen hockey pucks fall out of the freezer onto my toes, before I discovered this very logical way of freezing bananas!

Frozen bananas are great to have on hand for smoothies, Healthy Banana Overnight Oat, Nice Cream, and Chocolate Banana Mug Cakes.

Yes, but it freezes very hard. Store it in an airtight container and let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before drinking.
Use fat-free whipped topping instead of light whipped cream, and swap agave syrup for a zero-point sweetener like stevia or monk fruit.
