I've never really been a fan of frozen chocolate-covered bananas. And although I enjoy bananas at an early stage of ripeness, the taste of overripe bananas and banana-flavored things can be a little overwhelming at times.
That's why I LOVE these banana fudge popsicles! They taste like chocolate, with a hint of almond. And who doesn’t love healthy things that taste like chocolate?! The banana flavor is subtle - just as it should be.

🥘 Ingredient Notes
These homemade popsicles are actually more like Banana Fudgesicles because they have a creamy texture. They are also a great way to use up ripe bananas!
This recipe uses 4 bananas for 4 popsicles. You could even use frozen bananas (if you have some in the freezer) because they all get blended together and covered in chocolate anyway!
- Almond extract. A hint of almond elevates the flavor of these popsicles without adding calories!
- Agave. Agave is a natural sweetener that's quite potent so you don't need to use very much. You can substitute liquid honey, but you'll need about twice the amount.

The flavors in this Banana Fudgesicle are similar to my Microwave Chocolate Banana Mug Cake, which is also amazing by the way, @ only 2 WW points!

What I love even more about this Banana Popsicle Recipe is that it takes about 5 minutes to throw together and pour into popsicle molds. Then you simply freeze them for 8 hrs and you have yourself a delicious, healthy, and easy treat!!
These are great for kids and adults alike (my kids love them!), especially on hot summer days.
🔪 How to Make Chocolate Banana Popsicles
These Banana Fudge Popsicles are easy to make, have only 4 ingredients, and are healthy and light.
- Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into popsicle molds, add popsicle sticks, and freeze for 8 hours or overnight.

Recipe Tips
- Blend Until Completely Smooth. For the creamiest texture, blend the ingredients until there are no lumps. If needed, scrape down the sides of your blender or food processor to ensure everything is fully incorporated.
- Use Stainless Steel or Silicone Popsicle Molds. Plastic molds work fine, but stainless steel popsicle molds (affiliate link) molds freeze faster and are easier to use. Silicone molds are also great because they make it easier to remove the popsicles.
- Don’t Overfill the Molds. Leave a little space at the top of each mold (about ¼ inch) because liquids expand as they freeze. Overfilling may cause the popsicles to overflow or stick to the lid.
- Run your popsicle molds under COLD water (not hot) to loosen them! It works sooo much better! *However, I will warn you that these guys melt FAST! But because they are so good, they’ll be gone very quickly anyway, so that shouldn’t be a problem!
👪 Serving Size
This recipe for banana chocolate popsicles makes 4 servings. However, you can half, double, or triple the recipe by clicking on the serving number and selecting the number of servings you'd like. The ingredient quantities will automatically adjust. You'll just need additional popsicle molds.
🔢WW Points
These WW popsicles are 1 point.

🌡️Storage
Store these healthy popsicles in the freezer in the popsicle molds. But for longer storage, you can put the entire mold into an airtight container and store it for up to 3 months. Or you can opt to remove them from the molds and wrap each popsicle individually in plastic wrap before storing it in an airtight bag or container. You don't have to refreeze them before wrapping them since they won't be able to stick together.
❔Recipe FAQ's
Yes! If you don’t have popsicle molds, you can use small paper cups or silicone muffin liners. Simply pour the mixture in, cover with foil, and insert a popsicle stick through the foil to hold it in place. Or use an ice cube tray and large toothpicks.
These popsicles are creamy but slightly firmer than store-bought fudgesicles since they don’t contain dairy or added fats. The bananas help create a smooth texture, but for an even creamier result, you can add a tablespoon of coconut milk or Greek yogurt.
You can drizzle them with a little melted dark chocolate before serving or roll them in crushed nuts or sprinkles right after taking them out of the mold.
Yes! You can mash the bananas by hand and mix well with the other ingredients, but the texture may not be as smooth. A blender or food processor ensures a creamy consistency.
I need ice cream or any type of frozen dessert all summer long, but I want to enjoy them in a healthy way and without artificial sweeteners. These popsicles are seriously good! I'm not usually big on banana-flavored stuff, but the chocolate really shines here. They're creamy like fudgesicles but way healthier. And using up those overripe bananas is a huge bonus!
